Pavilions

Beautiful open-air dance pavilions are central to the experience of being at Pinewoods; dance classes, workshops, evening dance parties, and many other events all make use of these lovely spaces. Pinewoods boasts four such pavilions of various sizes, each with an unfinished hardwood floor suitable for a range of dance styles. The largest is C#, named for Cecil Sharp, the founding father of the folklore revival in England during the early 20th century. The pavilion has a spacious band shell and holds the largest classes, accommodating the entire camp for evening dances. The other three pavilions are C# minor, Ampleforth and Newbiggin. All but the last are handicap accessible.
